Tony Castro For College Board 2024
I, one-hundred and ninety-nine percent, support the Latino Community, Immigrants, Undocumented Immigrants, and their families and everybody else. My Father was born in Zapopan, Jalisco Mexico. My Father is NOT a United States Citizen. He is only a Permanent Resident, he does not speak English, and he cannot vote. My mom's family is from Santa Maria De Medio, Jalisco, Mexico and Encarnacion De Dias, Jalisco, Mexico. My mother IS a United States Citizen and a High Propensity Voter. She was born in the city of Orange, I was born in the city of Orange, my grandma was born in the city of Orange. And my family settled in the city of Orange in the year 1916, in the Orange Cypress Street Barrio. Vote to empower the Raza, vote for Tony Castro. When I win, we win. #LaRazaCosmica #TheCosmicRace

Tony Castro For College Board 2024 RSCCD Area 7
Strengthen the Teachers Union with an emphasis on part time instructors. I refuse corporate donations for my campaign so I can be free to fight for the voters. I am not for sale, and I cannot be bought by super wealthy donors. This is the people’s campaign. People powered, to power the people. Political Studies show, once a candidate accepts corporate donations for their campaign. They tend to vote in the interest of their wealthy donors, 80% - 100% of the time. I refuse corporate donations, so I owe favors to no one. Since I refuse corporate donations from corporate lobbyists, I am free to deliver what I promise. In office, I will never forget that I am a public servant. Elected by the people, to serve the people. I have been offered corporate money. I don't want to win that way. When I win, the people win.
Education Is a Human Right and Not a Privilege
I believe education is a human right and not a privilege. Higher Education should be guaranteed to the people by the government. Including Cal States and UC's all the way through medical school. We need to fully fund higher education to have an educated workforce in the United States and to be competitive in the global economy. Our children's future counts on it, and our children are counting on us to make the right choices. I remember my elementary school teachers telling me "Anything is possible." Let's make anything possible again.
What Characteristics and Principles Should a Candidate Have?
A candidate should be selfless not selfish. And should put others before themselves. They should not seek office for personal gain. Instead, they should help their constituents gain opportunity. A candidate should want to change the community for the better. Most importantly, a candidate should be able to resist and refuse the temptation of corporate donations from super wealthy donors. This way they can be free to truly represent the best interest of the people. They should be the type of person who is already helping people and the community. And is only running for office to help even more people. This person should be humble, have a great understanding of poverty, understand the need for free higher education and basic needs to prevent more poverty. An asset to the community, if you will. An elected official should exceed these expectations.
